Local to London
London renovations happen in tight spaces. A side-return extension on a Victorian terrace in Walthamstow or Brixton means dust travels down a narrow hallway and up the stairs. A loft conversion sends it through every floor below. In mansion blocks and converted flats, work is squeezed into a few rooms, and neighbours share the communal stairs and lifts. Parking is its own problem, with controlled zones in most inner boroughs, so builders often carry materials past the front door many times a day. Outer boroughs such as Bromley, Harrow and Havering have more driveways and larger 1930s houses, where the job is often a kitchen extension or a garage conversion. Either way, the dust ends up everywhere.
We clean after building work across inner and outer London, from period conversions in Islington and Hackney to family homes in Croydon, Enfield and Ealing. Our own trained cleaners, all insured and DBS-checked, arrive with professional products and equipment. We clean the rooms that were worked on and the parts of the home the dust reached, such as hallways and stairs, so the whole place is ready to live in or let.
After Builders Cleaning in London
We dust and wipe every surface from ceiling height down: coving, light fittings, door frames, window frames and sills, radiators, skirting boards and switches. Kitchen units and wardrobes are cleaned inside, and bathroom tiles and fittings are wiped free of grout residue. Window glass is cleaned on the inside. Hard floors are vacuumed and mopped, and carpets are vacuumed.
Paint splashes and plaster marks are removed from hard surfaces where they come off without damage. In Victorian and Edwardian homes, we take care with original features like cornicing, sash windows and old floorboards, where dust sits in gaps and mouldings. Tell us about anything delicate when you fill in the quote form.
Click Get a quote and complete the form. It asks about the building work, the size of the property and which rooms are affected. We review it and send you a price. This way the price reflects the actual job, not a guess. Because the price is based on your answers, the more detail you give, the more accurate it will be.
Tell us about access too. If the flat is on an upper floor with no lift, or the street has permit parking, mention it on the form. Book for when the trades have fully finished, including the snagging and decorating. If anything is missed, let us know within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean it.
Loft conversions, basement work and rear extensions are the obvious ones, but smaller jobs create plenty of dust too. Rewiring means chasing channels into walls. New windows mean plaster dust around every reveal. A kitchen refit leaves sawdust in every drawer. Even replacing a bathroom suite can leave grit in the hallway carpet and on the stairs.
Landlords refurbishing a flat between tenancies need it clean before the photographer or the first viewing. Buyers taking on a newly converted flat often find dust inside the units and along window tracks. If you are moving back in after living elsewhere during the work, a builders clean means you can unpack straight away.
FAQs
The price depends on the size of the home, the kind of work done and how much dust is left, so there is no fixed list price. Fill in the quote form with details of your London project and we send you a price.
Yes. Many London conversions are up several flights of stairs. Mention it on the quote form so we can plan the visit and bring what we need in one trip.
Our clean covers your property. If dust has spread into a shared hallway, mention it on the quote form and we can talk about whether it can be included in your job.
Yes. Loft work sends dust down through every floor of a terraced house, so we clean the new room and the rest of the home below it, including stairs, landings and bedrooms.
Once all trades have finished, including decorators and any final fixes. Cleaning too early means the dust from the last jobs settles on clean surfaces. Paint should also be fully dry before we clean painted areas.
